This is a gorgeous plane and my second edf jet. I got it at the introductory sale price, so it was very good value. Easy to assemble and set up. I have flown it only once because of weather here in uk. Bit nervous but it flew well and landed easily on half flaps. Bit scary on grass takeoff as it looked like it was not going very fast but did in fact soar up when I gave it a little elevator. I would not say this is a first jet and would recommend arrows marlin for that, but definitely a good second. I am only saying that because of the high speed although it does fly well slowly. Would be easy to fly too far away very quickly if it was your first ever edf jet flight.

Fast but not as much as I hoped here in the Mile HI City. Gear made it bouncy on landing with a flair on first few flights. May need to land flatter with all wheels touching at same time. Will try that next flight. Flies well.

I am a faithful Motion supporter. That said I am also honest in what I post is what I believe. This is a really nice flying EDF, very fast, no bad tendencies, very stable. Rolls very straight and true, just flies really well. It's performance is the highlight. I also flew mine with a hotter XRP set up and went back to the stock fan and motor. I did put in a 100A ESC as I found it was pulling more than 80A on a fresh charge and the 100A ESC let it pull a little more on top of that. The other shinning star are the retracts, they are just perfect and the retract mounting boxes on mine were not loosely glued in like many FW planes have been.Assembly was quick and easy but I did pull the Blue Box and substituted Y's.The not good. Parts prices are crazy high, $20 for the tiny foam nose cone, $80 for a fuselage or wing (decals not included). I hope Motion discusses this with FW as if I ding mine up I won't order parts at those prices. At $299 the kit is a fair price. At the non sale $329 maybe not. After all this is a bare bones EDF, no lights, no gear doors, no frills. But to be honest it is how I would want it. Save the frills for the 80 an 90mm planes.I have about 50 flights on mine. All trouble free, all perfect flights. Well done FW and Motion!

These jets keep getting better and better, you don’t think there’s any more they can improve on and they surprise you again. John

This jet is just outstanding. The only thing I added to the plane was a home made center-burner LED. I used a 6S-4000 80c battery and pulled a respectable 1880 watts on the ground. The battery was a relatively light 606 grams and the plane only weighs 78 ounces RTF. It has the smoothest running fan I have ever heard from a production EDF and has unlimited vertical even while doing continuous rolls. After all the high speed fun it slowed to a crawl with full landing flaps and glided in with the motor off for an easy no-bounce landing. This one is definitely a keeper.

Picked up the Vulcan as my 1st jump into EDF. I've been in the hobby for 3 yrs and figured it was time. Very easy assembly, trimming was a breeze, CG was little aft for my batteries (Smart 6s 4000 50c). Anxiety kicked into high gear as I sent it up for the maiden voyage. Once in the air she flew like a dream for me. Definitely need work on landings, but this gear is pretty forgiving. Gotta love it!

Like any model, once you get it balanced it will be easier to slow it down for soft landings. The hinges are foam and will need to be attended to at some point so keep an eye that so you don'y lose a control surface. Very easy the assemble.
