“Just flew the maiden flight. What an amazing plane. Dream to fly. Took off beautifully and a few clicks of down elevator and she was locked in. Brought her up to full speed, swept her wings back and just enjoyed the flight. Can’t wait to get her back up in the air soon. My co-Pilot loved it!!”

“Got mine a few months ago. As usual, shipping is quick and the box was damage-free. Straightforward to put together, really great quality. Everything is pre-programmed for tailerons, wing sweep is easy to set up. Really solid model! With wings out, it flies great...very scale. Easy to land. Pair it with some BlueFire afterburners if you really want to wow folks. Now, some caveats: 1--You really need to carefully program and trim the wings-swept position. It gets VERY sensitive. I ended up making my aileron dual rate switch the wing sweep switch and the mode switch. Disable flaps when swept. In swept position, the plane rolls like a corkscrew, yet wants to level itself. It can make turns a little weird. 2-If you're flying off grass, you're likely not going to be happy with the stock out runner 80mm. It takes 300-400 ft. And even if on pavement, the stock vertical performance is not great. It's a big, heavy plane with 2 large 6 cell packs. I upgraded mine to 100 amp ESC's and the Avanti motors (80mm 9-blade 3658-1920Kv). Paired with some LiHV packs...what a difference. They should really use those motors as stock. They are lighter and have more thrust. 3-You'll need to re-do the rear battery tray to fit a decent size pack. I ended up putting my receiver and burner control on the foam, which has a perfect cutout for it, then securing the plate right on top (there is foam to space the tray and the RX. 4-I highly recommend using two coats of water-based poly spray on the finish. The paint is very flat and will not do well with the elements otherwise (particularly on grass).”

“After years of watching this plane and hoping they would come out with an upgraded version, I finally gave in and purchased current version. I have just completed assembly and initial setup. Overall the assembly East and without issues. I did one of the high key recommended up grades and made my own solid one piece battery tray and modified compartment to fit bigger batteries. After watching every video out there on you tube (numerous times ) I have decided to install upgraded fans/motors before my maiden. I going with the FMS (spectrum) platinum fans motors. Also putting the RC Geek after burners in it. My biggest concern is the landing gear complaints. Im on a list for Dustin’s upgrade kit ( developed by Rich) but not sure how often or how long it takes for him to produce a batch. I will update review after initial flights. And yes I had the Top Gun sound tracks playing during build.”
