I got the arf plus version to install an 8s power system. I used the 150a esc from the 8s Yak 130. Also the 4075 1250kv motor and fan combo. I had to trim the cheater grate to fit the esc because the caps are so tall. Also had to make up some motor extensions to reach the esc. I wish Motion would carry a plug and play power system for 8s, but that's ok...it's all good. The detail on this jet is stunning. I love the robust landing gear and doors. Just getting all the wires tidy, and deciding where to mount my receiver before the maiden. If scale jets are your thing....this one will not disappoint !

I received this kit last week. When I opened the box, I found that there were no parts to hook up the elevator....the rods the elevator halves were missing, the assembly screws were miissind, and the control horns for the elevators were missing. I was able to get control rods sent to me, but there were no ball links included. Spent a good part of the day fabricating the missing parts....luckily I had some screws tags worked on hand.

Conducted 5 flights on my new F-15 EDF jet, and I must say I'm very impressed. I bought the ARF + kit and put in a 130amp ESC and Hi-perf fan.The build: Very straight forward…not complicated, as everything was simple and well designed. There was very little gluing involved (just 2 pieces at the end of the fuselage and 4 small pieces to add detail – pitot tubes and such). The wings and tail surfaces screw on, and everything had good travel with no binding. Only problem was the space where the wires from the rudders go into the fuse was VERY tight, and quite a bit of force had to be used to get the horizontal stabs to fit. I was worried I was going to break the tails, so much force had to be used to get them seat right. Eventually go them in.There was sufficient room for the receiver and wires. I'm using a receiver with a satellite, and it's pretty cramped finding a place for that, but I got it to fit. The 6S 5000 mAh battery fits nicely with no problems. Just added some Velcro to the battery tray. The plane balanced perfectly at the spot recommended. The plane looks fantastic. This is probably the best looking foam model I've ever seen. It's very detailed and scale. The proportions seem perfect to me. This is a really big plane, so the wings can easily be removed for transport, if needed. Tail could come off, too if needed, although I wouldn't do it unless absolutely necessary.Flying: I set up the throws per the manual, and they were perfect. I flew it on high rate, as the low rate seemed a little light on the aileron and elevator throws. The plane flew great, with no vices, and no trim was needed. It was perfect with the eyeball test on the control surface alignment. I did it per the video on the Motion site (thanks!).I have the Hi-Performance motor, and I'm glad I did. It's not a speed demon, but it has sufficient power. I think the standard set-up would not be powerful enough for me. I'm getting 3 minutes flight time and coming down around 30% on the battery, with some high speed passes and full power take-off. Always want more, but I'm okay with that, as long I don't come down with a drained battery.I did have to put some down elevator with flap deployment. It wanted to balloon with the flaps deployed. Not much, just 3% down elevator on take-off flap and 7% down with landing flap.It flared nicely and landed with no problem. Just a little power on landing, not much needed at all.I did have to dial down the throw on the nose wheel, as it seemed a little squirly on roll-out. Let it roll out to almost a stop before turning. It will tip a wing if turning too fast.Overall, a very very nice plane. It's straight forward to fly and great handling. Although it's a big plane, it's not heavy. Plenty of wing and lifting body and lots of power….great combination. If you've got the Stinger, F-86, T-45 or similar big EDF down, go for it. You can handle it, and you'll be glad you did.Enjoy!
