You need to take the gear servo apart to install this piece. One of the six screws holding the servo together was stripped and I could not open the servo. This pin probably works fine but installing it is a pain. Ended up ordering a whole new gear servo.

I would keep a few in your shop so if you have a hard landing you can use this pin on nose gear or modify it to work on main gear. I think this is preferable to replacing with a steel pin and then having landing gear rip out.

Rough landing crosswinds pushed me off the runway into the grass right after touchdown. Rear gear didn't like that snapped the pins. Ordered new ones, arrived 4 days later thanks Motion. Didn't miss a weekend of flying my 90mm F-22!

Decided to buy several spare shear pins for the nose gear, as a small hole in our grass strip broke the one in the nose gear perhaps as it was supposed to do.

The pin is an exact fit for the F7F nose gear retract. You do have to take the retract apart to remove and then replace the (I assume) broken pin. A couple of screws on the retract can be very difficult to remove without stripping the screw head, but it can be done. I wish the steel in the pin was stronger, but I suppose it is better to replace a pin than the entire retract. It is certainly a lot cheaper.
