“Another great success by Alpha and the talented team at Motion RC. It’s clear how much thought and attention went into every aspect of the Phantom II, both the USAF and USMC/USN variants. Just the best, many thanks to all at Motion RC.”

“I have 4 flights on this plane, and it's time to write a review.First of all, this has to be the best looking RC plane I've ever seen. This thing looks fantastic! The detail throughout is top notch. The detail in the cockpit is outstanding and thing looks amazing in the air.The plane came with 2 decal schemes, and both require the tail to be painted. That was no problem, but I ran into 2 problems trying to make the scheme I wanted. I wanted to do the one with the rising sun on the tail, but i couldn't match the red color. It's a really bright red. The 2nd problem was the rising sun decals. i've been doing plastic models for about 40+ years, but the tail decals were impossible for me. The complex curves of the tail, the servo, and gaps on the tail made it impossible for me. I ended up making a customized decal scheme out of the available decals instead. It still looks really good, but I just couldn't make it look like the way it's supposed to be. Oh well. The Build: The decals are water slide and there are a lot of them, so it took me about 3 hours just to do the decals. After that, it was really simple. There aren't may parts and they fit perfectly, so it goes together really easily. I put the battery as far forward as possible with allowing the hatch to close, and it balances perfect right at the recommended spot. I didn't cut out the bottom of the cockpit like the video showed to move the battery farther forward. It wasn't necessary.Flying: I spent extra time to make sure I set the throws up exactly as recommended in the manual (by millimeters, not %), and they were too much. It was WAY too touchy, so after the first flight, I dialed down both aileron and elevator. I also dialed up the expo to 40%. Now, I've got the aileron at 65% throw and that's perfect for normal flight. I set the elevator up as recommended (8mm nose up), and it wasn't enough, so I had to trim in a bunch of UP elevator on the first flight (about 15 clicks). So, I would estimate about 12-14mm needed of UP elevator at neutral. The UP trim for the Flaps is right on as recommended in the manual.'The plane flies great, although it feels like you have to "pull" it through a turn. Some planes will start to turn when you bank them, but this plane needs pulled through a turn. No big deal, except when setting up to land, so definitely work on rudder turns when turning to land. It needs a lot of power when the flaps and gear are down. Speed is pretty good. Not a barn burner, but good enough. It rolls and climbs well.Issue: I had a problem with one of the aileron servos going crazy. Had to change it out.In summary, this plane is really a stunner, and if you're thinking about an F-4, this one is fantastic. It's a must-have if you're into military jets.Enjoy!”
