“Great jet, very nice looking and everything was well thought out. I must say I was a little disappointed upon learning that I had to paint the tail in order to use either of the two provided schemes, which in my opinion disqualifies this as a PNP product, but I can't let my laziness take away from how great Freewing and Motion RC are. I'll assume this was just a production oversight or communication breakdown. There were no other issues assembling it and I'm especially impressed with the landing gear for a foamy. The lights are a real nice touch as well. The recommended CG and flying stab angle seemed spot on for my first few flights. I did however need a good amount of left trim, and don't forget to add some up elevator on your flap mix. My first flight was a real handful to say the least, but that was just me needing to adjust to the plane. I have multiple FreeWing jets and a collection of turbine jets, and you definitely have to fly this one. Don't think you can just chop the throttle on the downwind leg and float in for a landing - you have to fly this jet all the way to the ground, and keep on the power in your final turn. With that said, it flies great and goes where you point it. My first flight was with drop tanks and missiles installed, but I didn't really care for the way it handled. Second flight I went without the drop tanks and it seemed much more manageable. The 8S is definitely plenty of power. I ended up with four successful flights on the first day out and each one got better and better, and by flight number four I was comfortable really wringing it out and flying aggressively. I forgot to install a gps sensor but I would guestamate that it was scooting along at about 120mph. I won't know about flight times until I charge all my batteries again, but I went with an abundance of caution for day one and set the timer for 3 minutes. Looks great in the air but be warned the ghost gray camo works - it is hard to see! Keep it close. This jet is not for beginners. If you are looking for your first foamy get the 80MM F-86 first and also maybe try a Stinger or Avanti before this one. Overall extremely satisfied and Motion RC is becoming legendary for their customer service.”
