“After just 2 full flights on the F22 I felt confident enough to do a low altitude, flaps and gear down, missed approach, 360 tight turn and land maneuver. I would not try that maneuver with any other airplane. The people watching thought I was nuts. This is hands down the best performing EDF I’ve ever flown. Great job! PS it was the 8s version.”

“Out of the box it's a pretty darn good plane. Can be assembled in an hour and flies really well, light wing loading and good power even in 6S. I think one item should have been better designed, the knuckle at the main wheels that allows it to bend when retracted also causes the plane to tip easily when turning at speed on the ground. I also think that wing tip lights should have been included and there is a quality issue in that quite a bit of the paint on mine (and others I've seen, we currently have five at my field) is poor and in some areas peeling off out of the box. If I didn't recently get the L-39 ir wouldn't have been noticed as much but the L-39 has a stellar paint job.That said I think the best thing about the Raptor is what you can do with it. I added thrust vectoring to mine and it is an awesome addition and really adds to the flying characteristics. I also put all surfaces on their own channels (total of 11) so I can have crow (ailerons up, flaps down), full span ailerons, full span flaps, tailerons, and rudder air brakes (both rudders go inboard with proper elevator compensation). All of these are in separate mods and fully proportional via the side levers. Like this the aerobatic capabilities are just awesome. I also added top and bottom wing tip lights, which it should have come with.”
“It flies every solid, my only issue is the wheels, they wear out to easy and the steering is a issue for me but other than that she is a super sweet flyer! the setup is good but needs high rates on a heavy 8s setup. “Nice edf jet. I have about 10 flights so far. Flies well at slow speeds as well at full throttle.Gear sticks to the pavement making for good landings but landing gear is narrow and you have to be moving slowly to not tip it to one side more so than other Freewing jets I have. My tire treads are also not even, bigger on one side than the other, causing it to to bounce when taxing.Not sure if I just got defective ones or if all are like that. I recommend!”

“I am very happy with my 8s setup. Great out of the box performance. Im glad they finally added bearings to the horizontal stabilizers. Next recommend would be upgraded plastic ball links to eliminate a little elevator/stabilizer slop. Small dubro ball links might work better. Overall, its a great buy and delivers the looks, performance, exactly what i wanted!!”
