“This is an excellent aircraft. But it is a shame that the customers have to upgrade the elevators themselves to keep the plane from crashing. Hopefully this will be brought to someone 's attention as to make this a successful aircraft in the future. Especially for the price we are paying.”

“The jet itself is really good and durable but the blue box was junk had to rewire around it and after the second flight I had to replace the flap servos. Waiting patiently for a break in weather and work to see how the 3rd flight turns out.”

“I got a total of 4.5 minutes of flying. The first flight took a lot of trim to get it level, even with a hobbyeagle. I was circling back and lost all elevator and nosed it in. I'm sure it was MY fault, I own it. It could have been an orientation issue as well. This plane was much more difficult to fly than the F22 90 mm and Avanti 80mm. The plane itself is a beauty. Personally, I love the F18 in real life, not so much the RC version. Some may love it, I dont like the way this one flies, too brick like for me. The quality is the same as any other Freewing. (Good Stuff) Im trying my best to keep this review balanced since im out 550.00 now lol.”

“Man, I love flying this airplane. The stock power system impressed the heck out of spectators today I wasn't even expecting to show up. They saw it flying and, you know how it goes. Anyway, it has great power to weight. Definately go with the 6000Mah pack. I found mounting it a little forward of where you might think helped me. Flaps are huge so 1/2 and full need not be that much in order to acheive your drag and rate goals. I took the rear gear doors off since the grass didn't like them too much but other than that, this plane is a wildcard. If you are just getting in to jets, The FW F22 is a great 90 MM Jet that is more forgiving and looks killer. Between the two, you are more likely to bend/break the F18 in my experience but I still like the ride.”
