“Have not flown it yet, but it looks great and I’m sure it will be great. However, two issues: 1. My fairly heavy high C 6S 5000 battery could not be moved back enough for the CG to balance, so I added 2” to the battery and connector plate, moved the connector back 1 1/2” and now it hits the CG as shown. 2. I noticed I had not closed the gap between the wing and fuse, loosened the retaining screws that I had used a tiny bit of blue locktite on and the blind nut ends broke off. The reason given was the locktite made the ends brittle. I don’t agree with that assessment, but I purchased the new parts that were reasonably priced.”

“Overall quality was good, some blue paint on the yellow on top of fuse and compression damage on one of the vertical stabs in the box but nothing that can't be sorted.Not flown it yet but she's a beaty!”

“One of my favorites after the very first flight. I have the F22 90mm, A-10, MIG 29, F4 90mm, and now this beauty. Flys like its on rails and landings are incredibly predictable. I had an issue with the elevator servos and described below but as usual MotionRC took care of me and made it right like they always do. I now only buy from MotionRC because they stand behind their products and Andrew is very straight forward to work with if an incident occurs and has always been very fair.NOTE: Make sure you check your elevator servos even on the *new* version. Mine was ordered just in the last couple weeks and I did not check the servos because it was implied that Freewing had made a revision on the rear elevator servo installation plate but this was not the case on mine. The servo wires were frayed upon inspection after a crash where I appeared to lose pitch control but my radio system showed no frames lost via telemetry logs. The servos would work fine after removal unless you gave the wire the slightest of movement and servo jitter would result.”

“Simply the most fun F18 I have ever flown. Be it turbine power or the other guys version this F18 is an absolute sweetheart. At take off flaps she takes off with ease from grass. Flight times are 4:30 on a 5000mah Admiral pack and the landings are a breeze with a bit of power carried through the final leg.”
“Excellent flying plane, a bit critical in stability with less speed, but overall excellent balanced plane. Flight time about 3-4 minutes take off and landing without any problems I use this plane only on gras and experienced NO problems at all.Nice looking plane in the air!!”

“Plane flew 1.5 minutes complete electrical failure. Destroyed. Fan unit was in tact and undamaged. All equipment was new., battery,receiver, etc. motion said I couldn’t prove was the airplane so that wouldn’t stand behind it. I was very disappointed with Motion RC. I really liked the plane. Just believe it was a faulty electrical system.”
