I have been a customer to Motion RC for about 3 years. I have purchased atleast 8 brand new aircraft from Motion and owned several more. Up until now I swore by their quality and customer service. However I lost all hope to the point that if I can avoid buying direct from motion I will do so. I purchased the B2 Spirit the same week it came out. I got it home, set it up by the book. Did all my checks and everything was good (so I thought) we’ll the B2 crashed down within 20 seconds after leaving the ground. When I recovered the plane and looked into reasoning I found rudder wire was plugged in backwards in the gyro. I sent pictures to motion they and they admitted clear evidence of manufacturer error. As did the manufacturer when they saw the picture. So I thought great they will replace the plane like Horizon Hobby had done for people including myself in the past. WRONG! They gave me 15% of the cost of the plane in the form of a gift card. I feel like when you spend what to me is a lot of money and you do it on a regular basis you should side with your customer once in a blue moon when there are any issues. They told me take the 15% or don’t . They don’t have another offer. I even asked for a plane that cost 1/3 of the price and they said no. Needless to say that’s bad business and shows me at the end of the day they don’t care about any of that. But I won’t buy another one. I will admit there was some pilot error involved as I did not check rudder during my preflight checks however, if I buy a new set of tire I assume when I leave the shop they all have air in them. I should have to inspect every wire. So if you do get one check everything 3 times over. Because a double check wasn’t good enough for mine. I think freewing is top notch quality and it was a mistake but they did me wrong and it’s unacceptable.

Have not maiden it yet, still waiting for cooler and calmer weather. Setup was straight forward. Pay attention to the setup videos and it is a breeze. Did some taxi tests and tracks straight and fast. Motion did an excellent job on this aircraft.

Amazing new Jet, flys great and stable … only disadvantage is the main gear that will not work on most grass runway - but used my ME-262 struts and wheel and it works very well !

Well I got this on a Monday and had it flying on Tuesday. The cons. have all been discussed on here prior. I will say this was one of the easiest planes to put together. Initial flight was very good at the first two minutes. But, then!!!I will go into the issues in somewhat detail. After two minutes the plane had issues with the gyro and the gains being too high. The flutter of a high speed pass was not good. Without a program card that is not available you can not adjust the gains, either on the transmitter or from a computer. Bad idea. After about 2 minutes plus the plane had some idea as to what it wanted to do. It went into an almost fail safe mode all by itself. I was able to land with the rudders, which were great, and saved the plane from disaster. Did bend the front landing strut at the pin about 10 degrees. Easy fix, but will get another to have on hand for the future. Second flight after doing a full check up on the ground and every thing seemed find (thinking maybe I hit the gyro mode switch in lieu of the retracts). I use a 3 position switch just in front of the 2 position switch for the retracts. So I put it back up. Within the first minute things started going wrong. 3 times the plane went into fail safe with little to no control on the ailerons and the elevators. The plane was take off for utopia of the foam junk pile. Thank heavens for the effective rudder, I was able to bring her around for a recapture of my eyesight and control. I kept switching the gyro control switch but not any response. Only until I got closer was I able to obtain control. I safely landed without recourse. After close inspection I did notice that the batter (new was puffed and had that familiar electronic smell). The smell came from the left EDF. Right EDF seamed fine. After investigation the motor does work but I believe one of the magnets released from its hold and has a click in it at throttle up beyond half throttle. So I ordered another replacement, but this did not cause the issue. I have since replaced the RX with a better one. But, the issue I believe is with the gyro. Just probably one of those bad pieces you get from time to time. I am currently in discussion with Motion on this. Who knows where this will go. I have not done much with the plane since removal of the RX and EDF at this point. I hope at some point MRC will get a programing box eventually, but I can’t do anything to the gyro until then and there is no time in sight that this item will become stock for sale. So here the plane will set until those people in China decide to ship items that are necessary.

First: She’s a beauty and so fun to fly. Second: While there are many videos showing the B-2 being flown in stronger wind conditions, caution is advised. Personal experience after many flights added to comments posted on the various forums can only lead to one conclusion. FLYING IN LIGHT WINDS ONLY IS THE BEST STRATEGY!Ignore this precaution at your own ris$k!When a gust is encountered at just the wrong time during landing, wellll….you can guess the poor outcome. It will happen. You will be able to enjoy her a lot longer, if you heed what others are strongly suggesting. Lucky once, lucky twice or more….sure. I’ve done it. However, that one unlucky gust is out there waiting for you! I’ve done it, too, with unhappy results. Many have learned the hard way. Flying ONLY in light winds will GREATLY extend her damage-free longevity.

First off... It's a freewing, what can I say? It's a beautiful, well designed model. Takes a bit more care than usual to setup the surfaces but with the wonderful video walk-throughs out there its not difficult. Highly recommend the rc informers video in particular. Maiden Flight went great, needed a couple clicks of down trim and she flew like a dream! My take off was a bit exciting as there was a slight cross wind and I may have just not realized it was pulling off to the left until it was nearly too late. Landing however was great for a maiden! This thing slows down soooo beautifully it's amazing. My third landing was so smooth the rollout was like... barely 50ft! Flight time can be insane for a jet. We all know a typical expectation is maybe 3-4 min for most jet flights. You can easily achieve 5 min flight times with this model on a 5000 pack which probably means you can easily get a couple more min with a larger pack and keeping it slow and easy. 6-7 min flights? With an EDF?! I think it's totally possible. The box... yes, I'm going to talk about the box! I personally love being able to break a plane back down and fit it into it's original box. Instead of gluing the tail on, I installed a toothpick to aid in lineup and a couple magnets to snap it on and off. Frankly, I'm not sure why they don't do this in the first place. It's a great way to store and transport this model in as minimal a space as is feasible. I wish all models frankly were like this. I've ordered a nose steering gyro which I hope will help resolve my issues of keeping her straight down the runway on take off. Unfortunately, if the issue was a cross wind grabbing it when the front wheel lifts off I'm not sure this will help much... It's a great model for what it is and is bound to attract attention wherever you fly. Some may complain about the high price but that's just a sign of the times unfortunately. Everything is more expensive these days and likely will be for the foreseeable future.
