“The B-2 has me a bit exasperated. At $700 I wasn't going to buy it. The price is at the point of a much more complicated twin 80mm price point. That said I did buy one. It did come slightly damage. Had to happen prior to packaging as the box and packaging showed no damage. Assembly was very easy. The design and engineering are fantastic. The flying is, as expected, different than other EDFs. That said it performs maneuvers you'd expect, rolls, loops and stall turns. Take off is easy off pavement. I find it interesting when people complain about planes with small wheels like this having trouble off grass, well, yeah. Landing... Well, it took one crosswind landing to drop a wing and cartwheel the plane. The plane is fairly fragile. It's good that Motion stocks all the spare parts and $200 for the fuselage, $100 for the wings and $30 for decals basically gets you a new plane. The parts come in the same packing the whole plane does and if you consider shipping cost the parts prices are very good.That said I am now scared to fly it. I think like my F-104 it's going to end up being a special day airplane.I have to applaud Free Wing for putting out such a unique aircraft.”
