“I have to deduct 2 stars because the ESC controller was faulty from the beginning and acted as if by a ghost hand. This became noticeable after I had taken off (approx. 150m) and fortunately I was able to perform an emergency landing on our large airfield and landet the model undamaged. The ESC switched itself on and off and even the thrust reverser was activated by itself. After a long discussion about the problem with Motion RC and several videos I sent, Motion RC sent a new controller and a new blue central box.I was finally able to fly the Zeus. With the 8S version, it is absolutely the fastest jet I have ever flown as an EDF. It is also super quiet and makes a whispering sound. I fly it with 2 x 4S - 5200 Lipos and have about 5 minutes flight time. However, I had to reduce the aileron and elevator movements to a minimum to make the Zeus more controllable. The 8S Zeus is difficult to control with the rudder movements specified in the building instructions, and the servos do not have exact positioning, which made constant corrections necessary. This only improved after I had mechanically reduced the servo movement to a minimum (innermost hole of the servo arm). Finally, I replaced the servos with higher quality ones.However, the 8S version with 2 x 4S-5200 is also somewhat nose-heavy. All in all, I am now satisfied with the Zeus 8S, it flies like on rails, is super fast and is an impressive eye-catcher on the airfield.After 5 flights the thrust reverser stopped working and I unplugged it from the receiver to avoid further malfunctions.Due to the defective ESC and the resulting reclamations, as well as the inaccurate servos, I unfortunately have to retain 2 stars.The high price is not justified for the cheap electronics built into this model.My recommendation to Motion RC: Use better quality ESC and servos for such a jet.”
“Very nice plan, build and assembly is top of the class.Fly quick and well, as long you stay in the flgit enveloppe.Two comments:- Elevator servo horn are not aligned. This induce different course of both which cause nasty effect in flight when pulling hard the elevator- Tip stall very agressive when flying inverted at middle speed and pulling elevator.I avoid a complete destruction at 3rd flight due to this. My CG was the manufacturing CG.”
