Out of the box, missing the skid protective plastic part. Prop on this plane is paper thin, can break on any landing. Recommend to order many props as spare or buy a better prop as replacement. Plane stalls quite easily, have to bring it in fast, cut the throttle last second. Pay special attention to lateral balance, will make your maiden more safe. Recommend to put in a Gyro for your maiden flight, not trimmed plane difficult to handle.

This is a great flying little plane. For hand launch planes I like to have a “Safe” equipped receiver so I installed a Spectum AR636 in this plane. I do not recommend you use this receiver or any receiver with AS3X. At high speeds I got severe wing waggle. I swapped out the receiver to the Spectrum AR620 sport receiver and the issue went away. Us a 3S when dialing it in on the maiden flight, then slap a 4S in and cure the need for speed. This is a rocket and banks like its in rails.

I don't like to date and review a plane until I've flown it at least a dozen times. Some planes look really good but don't fly as well as they look. The Dora looks really good for the price. At first I didn't like the yellow and I prefer more of the grey camo Fw 190, whether the grey is true scale or not. I prefer more subdued looking planes. Having said that, I've changed my mind after seeing this one in the air. I love it's looks now. And I even added some yellow to the wing tips and the underside of the leading edge in order to have better visual orientation. This plane hauls. On the 4s 2500 admiral pro it flies amazingly fast and with tons of vertical power. Having that power on tap allows for confidence when flying acrobatic maneuvers. And with conservative throttle long flying times. On both 3s and 4s it can fly slow and close too. It's easy to achieve nice realistic scale flying. I do wish it had a rudder and hope they continue to make this bird and add more to this size series, so I can sideline this one and add a rudder. It's so fun to fly I don't want to park it quite yet for the rudder add. And having torn off rudders from other planes over the years I can see the benefit of not having one with a belly lander. I have broken two props, the stock one and an APC one, but this was on my early flights and I was landing it way too fast. I've now had 10 flights on one prop and I feel like I have the landings down. It does slow down and tracks straight enough to do gentle belly landings. Again, I hope they keep making this format and add other planes to it.

Easy to assemble. Easy to fly for a somewhat good pilot. The smaller size simple demands more careful flying so the model does not get too far away. This model is especially easy to hand launch with a light breeze blowing. I installed a stabilizer on the elevator and ailerons and it makes hand launch even easier. I am flying on 3s 2200mah. Seriously long flight times. Not crazy fast but for the size, she looks relatively quick! A whole lot of fun and the model looks great - a good subject to do a little weathering on. Spinner comes black. I painted the spiral by hand. Buy at least 2 spare props because you may break a few on landing every once in a while.

Received my Fw 190 recently and wow, what a sweet looking war bird. Flying on a budget, I currently have this it bound to a Spektrum DXe (RTF Aero scout version) with the admiral stability plus Rx. However, I am experiencing two issues and could use some help and clarification perhaps: 1. The ailerons by default are reversed for some reason while bound to the DXe Tx which I found a fix for and reversed channel 2 on the Tx. 2. I can't seem to get the stabilizer to work even though I have the j4 and j5 dip switches in the on position as suggested. Wondering if this is a compatibility issue with the DXe Tx and the admiral Rx? Would have given it five stars since this is a sweet looking plane, build quality is great and it's very easy to put together. However, compatibility may be an issue with the Admiral Rx since it may not be compatible with all Spektrum Transmitters.

I fly on 40C 2200 milliamp 4-cell batteries and get 10 minute flight times with mixed throttle. Very good performance, durable, and insane flight times. Flies right out of your hand with an underhand toss at full throttle. Great to practice formation flying with since parts are cheap.
