I will start by saying I bought a Spitfire from a different seller at first. Never again. This Spitfire showed the other for what it was. CRAP. This warbird is easy to assemble with room in the battery compartment for a receiver and a gyro if you plane carefully and trial fit. It is after all a Spitfire. Fit and finish is fantastic for the price point, Decals are all there and installed way better than most preinstalled decals I have seen on other models right down to all the small detail decals. The model is well packaged with no damage to paint or foam of any kind. Can't say that for one I bought from a different manufacture on a different seller site. If you like old time warbirds this will look great in your stable of warbirds. Could not be happier and looking forward to buying other quality models in the future from Motion RC.

Very nice looking model. Suggest not installing the wings until you make sure the pushrods for the rudder and horizontal stab are out far enough. The small horizontal stab is somewhat deceiving. Because the fuselage is so long, it acts like a big lever magnifying any elevator movement, so you will actually want to tone down the elevator throws. Same goes for the ailerons; this airplane rolls very quickly. I noted that in the review video, James, who is a much better pilot than me, switched to gyro mode early on. There is a reason for that. A gyro isn’t necessary but on this it certainly helps. I’m also not ashamed to say I have a recovery/safe switch. You only have a couple of seconds if you loose orientation. This version comes with decals installed, and also has painted on invasion stripes on the bottom of the wing which helps visibility. It looks really awesome with the 12” 4-blade prop, but I question the 87 mph. You won’t be catching up with any of the EDF guys, but you might outclimb them. Take-offs aren’t bad, as long as you feed in the power smoothly and add right rudder as you go. Landings are naturally challenging. You do need to carry some power and keep the wings level.. You can quickly put the tail wheel down to help with steering after touchdown. This is my 3rd warbird after the 1100mm FMS Zero and the 1200mm Eflite Mustang, and is the most challenging of the 3, but after getting used to is I’m sure it will be more fun as time goes on.

I have to give the plane 5+ stars. I learned to land with it finaly, although the plane suffered many scratches on the bottom of wing tips. I made more(!) than 100 landings by now. If you land on main wheels or a little bit slower on all three it is perfect, no tendency to tip over. I use paved runway, I did not try grass. I am thinking to purchase 1600mm one!

This plane flies fantastic. Fast, and agile as a barn swallow. It will do anything you ask of it and it will fly for 10 minutes on a 3600 maH and still come down with 3.7 volts per cell. The only shortcoming is the Spitfire ground handling curse of narrow gear and the tendency to nose over on all but the most smoothest surface. Had it sitting on my rack for two years since the grass was too long on our field. This year they cut it short and it almost was able to fly off it. Removing the gear covers and replacing the wheels with the stock wheels from the P38 made it work. Slow three point approach and then throttle cut is the best way on grass. I would recommend replacing the clevis with ball links as I had one break on the right aileron and had to fight to save it all the way down. Landed in some thick brush which acted as a cushion so only superficial damage. Still flying it and love it.

Easy to assemble even with translated instructions. Only flown it once so far. Nothing bad to report.

A great kit that goes together well with great scale detail. Still to maiden, if it flies as well as the Sea Fury it will be a great plane at a good price.

I made maiden today morning. During take off and landing there was unusual tendency to tip over. During flight many trim clicks were needed. Is recommended CG too far forward? It does not fly badly, but Eflite Spitfire 1200 mm flew far more better.
