This is really a beautifully done model with very high quality throughout. I have not assembled mine yet, but can't wait. By far most aspects of this model are 10/10. The only things I can quibble about, are scale aspects. 1) the canopy framework ribs are too narrow (should be about 50% wider), not to mention should have a double strip where the sliding portion meets the windscreen. 2) wheels are smaller than scale (3.375 vs. 4.1), but there are production reasons for this. I know, scale police things. But the canopy framing is visibly wrong even from several feet, which is why I've repainted mine. But not to take away from a fabulous model, without a doubt the best ARF Corsair made and worth every penny, even with the price increase.

Wow, what a beauty. Thank you MotionRC and Flightline for the best foam, electric Corsair out there. Saving this email to fill out again after I have flown it. Great quality, beautifully painted, super easy to put together, tons of room inside to work with, even has glued in carbon fiber rods inside the fuselage to strengthen and support the main frame!!! Really very well thought out and made. I bolted the wings on and the prop, just set the elevator and rudder on it and have it hanging up while I have been working on the FlightLine F4U-1D Corsair-Bubble Top. Will send a better review latter with pictures

Assembles quick and wire harnesses from wing makes removing easy for transport. Would of liked a little more scale looking radial motor to go with nice scale prop. Nice feature of weights in cowl, balanced perfect with 5000ma lipo. Going to have to wait for snow to melt to fly, but after watching flight review, I don't expect any problems.

The appearance of the finished plane is awesome. It's very hard to believe it is a foam airplane, looks like a composite aircraft. The detail molded in is very realistic. Can't comment on the flight performance yet as it's too cold here to fly .

Another fantastic offering from FLIGHTLINE RC. There are no other early F4U-1 "birdcage" models out there so this one is a unique variant of the ever popular Corsair. The Model went together very smoothly without any issues and the first flight went great. I used the older Admiral 6s 5000mAh pack and it balanced right at the recommended book CG. Like the FLRC 1600mm Mk.IX Spitfire, the flight controls are very effective so you might want to consider putting in at least 30% expo on the elevator for your first flight and adjust from there. This model has plenty of power to spare and will takeoff easily at half throttle with very manageable tendency to swing on takeoff. It is a very mild mannered taildragger. With the big propeller it will slow down quickly when you power to idle so keep that in mind when coming in to land.Quality of construction is as good as it gets for a foam WWII model so if you're looking for a Corsair I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this model. I think I'll have to get the other variant (F4U-1A/D) to compliment the fleet!
