“Shipping was fast with no damage.The plane was in pristine condition and the assembly was easy.Read the reviews and various blogs, watched the videos, but found that if you follow the written instructions, that it is actually easier to wire the "blue box" if you pull the battery tray out (w/o disconnecting any wires), install the center wing section and then pull the wires forward and plug them into the "blue box". Easier than Motion's video. Easier to mount your receiver then, also.Everything works perfectly.One word of caution: The canopy/battery hatch won't close if you try using Turnigy 5000mAh batteries. Can't speak for other brands of 5000's.As for the comments about it being underpowered: Having flown in them in Viet Nam, I'd say it's nearly scale.Love the plane.Love the quality.And love Motion's service.”

“Really good flight for it’s Maiden. My landings could have been much nicer and I need lots of practice . It’s got great gear which readily absorbed my 3 point somewhat harsh landing on grass. (Cold and hard at freezing temps). I flew with all its ordinance attached cause it looks great with it on in the air. Flaps works great, gift the plane good lift at takeoff and appreciably slows the plane down. I have learned the lesson to keep giving it some power while landing . I got lucky here since newbie me cut the throttle , plane came in nice and easy but stalled a little higher than it should’ve for a nice landing . I can’t wait to try again!! it flies easy and amazing sight to see in the air.”

“For the price, it’s kind of hard to beat but I’d say definitely buy it if it’s on sale. Pros: beautiful looking model in the sky, retracts/gear are pretty sturdy, LED light package looks great including the nose landing light which activates with gear down, decent power and speed, spec’d hi and low rates are good as is for aerobatics and scale flying (the flaps servos are going to have plenty of throw and the hinges can accommodate the full servo range but you will only need to use a portion of that throw, landing flaps are going to be about 1” down from the wing surface any more than that and it’ll kill the aerodynamics and promote stalling, take off flaps are about half that at 0.5” this is all detailed in the rates page of the manual), I can get almost 7 min out of two 4000 mAh packs which is great for a model this size, the model overall can really take a beating, optional magnetic arms and fuel tank is pretty cool, four panel flaps are helpful as well, can handle grass no problem if you avoid bumps/dips and are gentle on the landings but probably best for paved surfaces, removable outer wings with two screws and one wiring connector make it easy to transport (transport with gear up if you can), 85% scaled down propellers help prevent propeller damage during tipping events while landing. Cons: a bit confusing and time consuming to assemble (highly recommend watching motionrc’s follow up assembly wiring video), be 100% sure you’ve calibrated both ESCs correctly as the process is not super straightforward (again, watch motionrc’s guide video for the ESC) I thought I had them both calibrated but was wrong which resulted in a stall and spin once I banked on the slower motor (overall minor damage and easy to fix so that’s a plus), the manual tells you to refer to the ESC instructions for calibration but mine didn’t come with a separate ESC instruction manual? plastic trim bits look good but break off easily either on landing or during transport if you’re not careful, due to the mixing board’s position on the balsa plank in the fuselage it is difficult to achieve any sort of organized wiring management as you just kind of have to shove all the wiring into the back of the fuselage once you’re done with assembly and connections, CG is a bit finnicky so I would highly recommend adding Velcro mounts for your packs in addition to the securing strap in the fuselage because if your packs shift back at all in flight it’ll quickly throw off the cg then you’re in the ground shortly but otherwise the marked CG point is ok but could be a few mm forward (my two 4000 mAh packs are about 3/4” from the front of the battery compartment), dropping/retracting the gear can be a bit glitchy sometimes but usually works, green scheme looks great but is very hard to see under the tree line, there seems to be a minor issue with rudder waddling I think someone in the reviews posted a fix to this but have yet to try it.Assuming you can avoid the assembly headaches mentioned above, it’s a very rewarding bird once it’s up in the sky and definitely turns some heads, for sure worthy of 4 stars.”

“The model went together good. The finish looked Great. I had a bad motor and got it replaced. On thee test flight: plenty of power, very little trim needed, As I started to put the model through its paces the canopy came off. Managed to safe the model. Replaced the canopy, Could not find a reason for the ejection. 4 more flights and was just falling in love with the model, Then it happened again, For no reason about 4 minutes in a flight canopy ejected and stuck on one of the props. Model Crashed and was a total lose. Bought another OV10. I driller the canopy pine hole deeper to help make a better connection. Lost this model on the test flight. Half way through the test flight it ejected AGAIN! This was done in level flight right over the runway with the whole club watching. Total loss again. Before anyone questions my ability or knowledge. 30+ years in the hobby, president of our RC Club, Flying a lot of models sold on this site. The model has a flexing issue that needs to be addressed and a 2nd locking mechanism needs to be added to the canopy.”
