That's right. There isn't one.
FlightLine is a branch of Freewing, which just so happens to be the best EPO/EDF jet manufacturer on the planet. Coincedence? Nope. This is by far the best EPO P-51D Mustang ever built. From scale fidelity to flight performance, we are living in the golden age of RC electric warbirds and jets. I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened up the box. Simply stunning for the class/price range. I chose the gyro version. I decided to paint her as Ferocious Frankie. The stock livery is great and all, but I am a aluminum/chrome fan when it comes to the P-51D.
Even better, the flight characteristics is amazing. Warbirds - especially taildraggers - are notorious for bad takeoff and landing habits. This model? Pussycat. Unreal how easy this model is from takeoff to touchdown. A rarity in this industry in this class.
Light wing loaded, another surprise in this size. I just can't say enough about Freewing/FlightLine in their continued pursuit of excellence. This is a model I will be keeping in my hangar for many years.”
“Great model. DO NOT set up your tanks for current flights if you intend to add the auto drop mechanism at a later date. You will need to buy new tanks at $24 each ! Due to the inability of cleaning the tanks of all the glue you used to glue the pylon to tank which must be removed to use in the auto drop system.”

“This is impressive, I love this P-51D. Size large, cool factor of the charts, simulated .50 gun flashes a bonus, can't wait to for the tank drops to come in for that realistic tank drop before getting into a dogfight with FW-190 protecting the bombers. Easy assembly, rather quicjk actually, the "easy on, easy off" wings are a really nice touch, should be on all aircraft, makes getting to the flyng fields easier. Since I live in the high desert I used the "Desert Rat" livery, it just sang out to me a the right choice for here. I love these big warbirds, next up, a birdcage corsair then the spitfire. Maybe a matching foe, a zero or a BF-109, yes I would get them as well, don't need them but to build a flying circus one must have flyers.
So far very impressed with this mustang its a real winner.”

“I have not yet had the opportunity to fly the P-51 yet, though I'm looking forward to it. The assembly is going well. Typical of most advanced foam WWII airplanes. The decals are very nice. My only disappointment is the unavailability of the bomb drop mechanism. I hope to report back after I fly it.”
