“I have likely purchased/built over 50 planes. This kit is easily one of the highest quality kits I have seen. It is super-well manufactured, the fit and finish is great. The manual works well, and only took a few hours to ready to fly. I enjoyed the options to add servo control of turrets and different model decal schemes. Once I went to fly it, it flew wonderfully. It was a real hit at my field, and I am proud to own and fly it. Bravo Motion RC, this is a real winner!!”

“Another spectacular product by Freewing and Motion. I have 3 Freewing planes, the Stinger 90, the 1600mm Spitfire, and now the Liberator-all great values. The hardware is all top notch and the electronics are good for these planes, much better value than the FMS planes, which I have the 1700mm P-51 and Corsair, both needed hardware changes and are very underpowered-flying bricks. I won't reiterate all the good things already posted-they are true, but only comment on some minor things, nothing to down grade the plane overall. Just wish Freewing would reintroduce a B-17 with this size and all the same electronics and motors-should be simple to make. I couldn't include any photos, since I was not invited to review because I purchased some spare parts with this plane and if you do, you only get invited and are able to include photos to review something that has little or no reviews posted. Added some extra paint features and Calllie made some spectacular custom graphics that I sent her pictures of, so if you want to see them, go to the liberator thread on Hobby Squawk, 2/23, #1036 & #1037 which will also show the installation locations for the Mr. RC Sound card and speakers. Get Callie to do some for your plane, you will love it. She made a pin-up for me of something I found with a Marilyn Monroe lookalike sitting on a bomb. She also changed colors of the skeleton and cross bombs for the tail for me to stand out better and made up pilot names, the plane name and some outstanding looking teeth and eyes, check it out on Hobby Squawk. Added some paint to the wing tips for visibility and wrapped the engine cowling behind the red with yellow and black checkerboard.1) Upgraded to the suspension struts, which are well worth it on the mains because they come with an axel and set screw so you don't need to use the c clamps to hold the wheels on with the stock struts-a big advantage. If you don't like the wear you get from the foam wheels on asphalt runways, change the mains to the Hanger 9 Pro-lite 3 1/4 and the nose to a Robart 2 3/4 held on with a 5/32 dura collar-no more c clamps, which are my pet peeves!! 2) Don't like the servos being glued in instead of held with screws, but hey, hope they used enough epoxy. 3) Would like lights included. 4) Added hood scoops for air flow with the sound card and speakers (which you can see in the photos on Hobby Squawk), including heat sinks, as the only intake is in the nose bay area and no exit airflow in the rear-so cut an opening in the back on the bottom-cooling the electronics is a must. 5) Would have liked to have the nose gear bay doors included; set up for them, just not there. If you need touch up paint (which you should have for every plane), go to the post on the liberator thread by Spud 37, 12/30/17, #688. He matched it from home depot-perfect color, tone and finish-a plane savor, and inexpensive. CG works out best with 2-4S 4000mah or 5000mah in the nose, giving at least 10 minutes of flight. Has a lot of power, jumps off the runway and flies very well at 1/2 throttle. A real head turner at the field with Callie's custom work!! Another Freewing winner! Just wish Motion gets enough spare parts in cause they have been out of a few thins for a while and I know some people grounded until more parts come in.”

“The liberator is a very highly detailed molded aircraft Attention to detail is evident throughout the aircraft when complete you only need to add radio receiver and power pack The Model fly's straight and level out of the box , only minor trim adj needed The Aircraft flies very fast and looks better throttled down for more scale look and also extends battery life Over all very nice aircraft I got 9 more of these tough foam machines Pound for pound they are a lot better than the old balsa with some type covering airplanes this foam is very tough and will absorb a lot of bumps on a grass field As stated I have 9 different of these giant scale models, and will be getting others as they come out”

“The model comes with painted cowl rings and painted vernicle stab's. I am making it a scale model of my dads B-24J, which means repainting these, and Red is a very hard color to cover. Everything else is exceptionally well done, with great scale detail. In the future you may want to make it a little easier for the modeler to detail. Leave detail painting to the modeler and pick a more generic aircraft for out of the box flying.Being in Minnesota means mine won't be flown until May or June. She will be the Patsy Ann II, which by all accounts was the second aircraft to drop bombs on its target in France, on June 6, 1944 D-Day.”
