“Great looking plane and flies very well, looks, great in the air. Ony given four stars as the decals are a nightmare as usual from flightline. They went on well but on the first flight half of them came off thereby spoiling the overall look of the plane. Please take note of all the comments re the decals.”

“To begin with let’s just say that MotionRC has not got the best customer service. To update my previous review, MotionRC considered the crash my fault. MotionRC says that the motor must have came off because on take off I must have hit that prop or motor on the ground which caused the motor to come loose and then in flight the motor came off. My runway is made from asphalt and was leveled before the asphalt was put down. This makes it almost impossible that the motor hit the ground on take off. Even as low to the ground as they are. On a level asphalt runway the plane would not have bounced on take off and the motor would have never hit the ground. I did find the motor that came off after a few days of searching. The motor and ESC had both came off and the wires from the ESC got tangled in the tree on the way down. I was search on the ground when I should have been searching in the trees. But surprisingly the prop on the motor was not broken. This lets you know that the motor did not hit the ground on take off. If it did the prop would have been broken.”

“I spent over 2 months detailing this model out to match on of my patients father's planes who flew it in WWII. It's a beautiful plane and does fly and look beautiful in the air. That being said, there is a complicated systemt to get the engines armed and thanks to a youtube video I was able to figure that out fairly easily but there is no instuction in the manual on how do do that. It is very over powered so be careful with go arounds. They did note that in the manual in find print and I found after I had to do a fuselage repair after a simple go around. The fuse will hit the runway if you apply full power on a go around. But my most frustrating issue is the poor, poor, poor poor, did I say poor customer service of Motion RC. After my 4th flight I was taxing out and the out board motor began to smoke. I immediately unhooked power and saved the airframe from buring up. Pulled the engine out and the ESC had burned up. I am running the recommended power set up so that should'nt be and issue so It must have been a bad ESC. I checked with the customer line, had to fill out a claim ticket, they wouldn't address the issue on the phone. I had taken over 30 days to build and detail the plane, not to mention I had waited for Christmas to open the box, since it was beyond the 30 day warranty, it wasn't covered and I had to foot the bill for the new ESC no other option. I have seen others who have had similar issues with the customer service. They have good products but if for some reason it has and issue they find reasons not to support the product. Frankly I will continue to send my business towards Horizon Hobby because they always back their products without question. Sad that Motion doesn't work with the customer better, because to loose a customer over $22 is really unfortunate.”

“I loved this plane. Gorgeous looking and flies beautiful but the reason for the 3 stars I had the same thing happen to me as another person wrote at about a 150 feet the right inner motor fell off the plane just while cruising it banked hard hitting the tree tops then straight into the ground I was not able to fix it. I would love to buy another b24 but not if this is gonna happen again.”

“Really good and overpowered flyer! On maiden, I throttled up gently and the thing took off very quickly. I was a bit surprised as I was used to the hobbyking B17. Maiden went easy. Just a few clicks of elevator and aileron needed. Landing was a bit faster then expected but I landed without flaps for the maiden. On subsequent flights, I started getting used to its flying characteristics. It flies more like a fighter than a bomber. Mild warbird aerobatics are easy for this plane. Inverted flight requires just a bit of down and rolls and loops are no problem. I tried to fly formation with a hobbyking B17. It's possible but there is a big speed differential. In order to form up and fly with the B17, I was at half flaps and below half throttle while the B17 was at 3/4 throttle. Looked great though. I do like the optional rotating turrets. I used a continuous rotating servo in the top turret and a regular 9 gram servo in the front turret. Overall, I'm very pleased with the B24. The major downside is with all it's performance, it's very hard to fly it just scale.... it's easy to do but the temptation to gun it and roll the plane is just too much!”

“To start with I will say overall this is a great plane. Went together easy and looked great. I purchased the 2 admiral 4000 battery packs with this plane. It does not take three days to put it together but I was not in a hurry to put it together as I had just purchased another one from Motionrc less than 2 weeks prior. After 3 day putting this together at a comfortable slow pace to make sure nothing was done incorrectly I finished putting it together. Flight day came today. It taxied down the runway perfectly. All controls checked and double checked. Batteries fully charged in the airplane as well as the controller. I throttle up and this airplane practically takes to the air on its own. It has to be the most perfect take off I have ever seen. I commented to my friend, WOW this is nice. As I finished that sentence a few other words came out of my mouth that were not so nice. I could see one of the inner motors, for lack of words, rip right off the airplane. Don't know why it came off or what caused it to come off. But it came off and the airplane banked to the right and went right into the top of a tree in the distance. The airplane itself was not too damaged as it was sitting comfortable up in the top of the tree but I could see that the one motor was missing. I had watched that motor fall into the trees about 250 foot from where the airplane went into the tree. The airplane sit that for about an hour as we all tried to figure out how to get it down. But after about an hour a storm rolled in with high winds and the airplane came down from the tree is is now really damaged. I am still looking for the motor that came off. But because these motors come pre-installed/ already attached I know this is not something that I did or cause or had any control over. This was totally out of my control an I do hope to hear back from MotionRC soon about this. I would like a replacement of the exact same airplane. Being that this is something that was out of control and not my doing I do not feel that I should have to take a $499 plus tax or shipping loss on this order. I have yet to hear back from MotionRC but I am expecting to hear back from them soon. As far as how well the product preforms or functions I can only select ok cause the only thing I got to do is take off but it did that perfectly. This is also the reason I can only give it 3 stars. It took off perfectly but I have no clue how it preforms or what might have cause one of the motors to come off. I hope to be able to update this review in the future.”
