“I have the Dauntless livery of this model. I read early reviews when it was released by VQ and builders had to add nose weight with 4s, so I went with 6s and no weight needed. The model is a true attention getter from appearance to its great flying habits. I took it out last week again ( 6/4/25) and comments were “ do you have a Gyro on that” because that is how smooth it flys. No I don’t have a gyro, it’s simply dialed in and flys great, no bad habits.”

“Fun build, straightforward. I went electric. Strut recommendation great for this plane. I modified ailerons for low profile HS-77BB servos. I modified the dive brakes so that they’re separate from the flaps by using 2 additional HS-81 servos on a separate channel. I used a freewing multi-function control box and added a landing gear light plus others. I modified the plane to drop a whistle bomb. Great flying plane! I used a 17x9 master airscrew prop and a 1700mm wingspan FMS Tigercat prop spinner because it looks good. Smooth great flying plane”

“Considering what you get in this kit, it is a very good value. To have to scratch build this model would take many hours, here, most of the work is done. There are some quircky things, but overall, if you like this particular plane you won't be disappointed.I had most of the things needed to complete the plane, Motor, servos, retracts, etc, so I have very little invested. It flew very well first time out.”

“The retracts are absolutely terrible!! Broke on maiden take off and broke on first landing. The pin that attached to the strut is weak and bends! The plane flew nice with a Saito FG14. Idk I expected more from this plane. The flaps are junk too.”
