“Concept of the box is sound. Hole for wires isn't in the best location. Charger stand that comes with unit not very helpful, even if charger is small enough for it. I end up having to put charger on different box and position this box oddly so the wires can all meet up with charger. Rubber bung plug is fairly useless. With 2 batteries having 10-12awg wires, plus the balance wires, there's zero chance you can get the wires through this protection plug without an act of congress. Build quality is good. Layout needs work.”

“the only drawback i have with the safe is were the charging wires go into the box? why can.t that be placed on the side near the bottom of the box? that could save some ext wire buying, i know thats not much but have been waiting since i got the box and there still out of stock”

“Lipo Fires occur unexpectedly releasing toxic smoke heat and flame. The lipo battery burst suddenly, to suddenly to move a battery, smoke fire and heat came up quickly melting all the wires connectors and coating the interior of the box with a thick black smoke film. But the charging battery was in the Bat-box with the lid latched. Disconnecting all exterior connectors to the charger with the box rapidly heated up on the outside it was carried outside the garage and placed on the ground. A couple hours later cooled the exterior of the Bat-box looked new but the inside told a story of heat and destruction. Better in the box then on your work bench. Get the box end of story.”

“LiPo bags may be fine for transporting batteries, but I wanted something better to store them in my garage. If something does go wrong, the all-metal construction, thick insulation and smoke filters should definitely reduce any damage.”
