“The PNP version is nothing but a complete waste of money. No instructions on how to wire anything up, what few instructions there are (and they are very poor) are for the RTF version. I purchased the Roban controller -- nothing in terms of documentation. I ordered the recommended battery; it is way too big to fit in the helicopter, another ripoff. Motion RC must have put a lot of working into making this as unfriendly and useless of a product as they could manage. Next time I will buy directly from Roban and skip the Motion RC BS.”

“This is a nice looking Medic Huey and made really well. But if you are beginner in this hobby I would recommend going with a GPS stabilzed model first. This model is a PNP and requires prior knoledge with setting up and flying. But in the end it is a great quality helicopter.”

“I can just say, 'Wow' there has been a leap in technology since I flew 20 years ago. This UH-1A Huey, is amazing. Details are ok, I do wish there was a complete cockpit, besides that, amazing. For first time Hobbyists looking to get into larger scale, this is your bird. Batteries that were suggested at checkout as a bundle, are a tight fit but will go in.Packaging was good.Over all experience so far has been flawless. I did my complete Inspection and research. Charged the battery's. Co.pleted my new paint and I was off the ground. 5 stars all day long.”

“Still trying to get it to fly nice. Messed with the gyro and still having issues with it being unstable when I make turns or try to stop to hover but otherwise it seems pretty good. The only thing I don’t like is the mechanics are loosely screwed to the body. Kinda hard to explain in text but the body and mechanics are not sturdy to each other. You can move the frame of the heli while the body stays still and vis versa. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be, and having it ridged is bad, I don’t know. It’s my first scale heli and so far so good.”

“This is my first Roban helicopter, and it’s living up to my expectations as a nice flyer with great scale looks.The quality of the fiberglass shell is good, although the mechanics and servos are lower quality than my other helis. On my initial inspection it was obvious that the swash and linkages were far from level, and various bolts were loose. No issues in sorting out the mechanics though prior to first flight, with everything pretty standard. First flight went well, and once I get the forward programming locked in I think it’s going to be a good flyer. This is not a beginner’s helicopter to learn to fly CP, as it demands an intermediate skill level in my opinion.Overall, I’m pleased with the value for money and recommend this model.”

“this is my second Huey from motion rc. i was surprised that the swash was level.set it up with a spirit system 2. it has many different stabilation modes.i set it up to coaxial mode, self leveling, flys great. the tail servo is a little to slow. changed to a faster servo. holds well.i liked it so much i have another on its way.the only complaint is spare parts.”

“Overall finish is excellent. However the alignment of removable section is not good, maybe a heat gun to soften and bend into shape, carefully. Needed to make some solid standoffs for tail pitch cable. All fixable. Apart from these nigley problems , great product.Roger B.”
