“After flying fixed wing models for 50 years, I thought it was time to venture into helicopters. I chose the Rotor scale AS350 because it's a scale helicopter and with the help of my simulator and the fact that it has a flight controller on board, I shouldn't encounter too many problems. On checking over the tightness of the screws etc. to my horror, the screw holding the rotor blade holder onto the main shaft,had been snapped just below the head (allen screw). Imagine what would have happened if that screw would have come out whilst the rotors were turning at high speed!!! I sent a message to Motion RC about this problem but as yet haven't received a reply. The helicopter is of very good quality apart from this, but paying this amount of money for a helicopter this size, it should be.”

“It is a plug n play however this is a heli...batteries flight controller radio are needed. Garret and t rex parts for the most part fit this bird. I had cracks in the gel coat of my fuselage and the mounting isn't that good.....but you're the modeler...... like any aircraft it has to be maintained....and made to be reliable. Balanced blades lock tight etc. It's a good heli to move up from an RTF and learn from. I don't regret my purchase.”

“Sorry to report that she came out ot the great box, very strong, with a broken tail cone. Two of the three very small screws had broken out and the tail cone was ajar. Thes screws did not have washers under the head but the others did, this might have made the connection stronger. This tail cone attach is very frail an I believe that if when flying if you hit the tail skid softly this would break the attach points. These tiny screws are very close to the edge. Also the landing skid is free to move sideways which I do not understand, should it have been fixed or was this done for a reason. I have never seen this on any of my 22 helicopters before. Other wise I found her to be very beautiful and nicely done. I would not buy another for fear of more troubles. I did not take it all apart and check everything and this may be a huge mistake. I really like the canopy attach ment and access to the battery area which I think is the best I have ever seen. To bad it is going to be just a display heli because I do not want to damage such a beautiful model.”

“The helicopter is a beautiful look in the helicopter mine came with the cracks in the bottom of the fuselage so check your stuff real good before you try to assemble it but they did take care of it and sent me another body”

“RotorScale has missed the boat with this AS350. Rotor Scale most certainly did not pre fly this model . Had I tried it would have been a disaster . The tail push rod was twisted around the tail boom ,due to the centering grommet never being installed . When tilting the frame to the side several screws/bolts fell to the work bench . Bolts also were never tightened or not lock tighten . Who ever assembled this model knows not how or did not care to do it properly .if I had wanted to completely rebuild a kit I would have purchased one , not a PNP .”
