“Ive done half a dozen ugears models and without doubt this i the most complexThere is far to much mechanism going on and all needs to line up exact before there's even a chance of it turning a bladeI found trouble with the wooden chain which has broke twice ans now am awaiting partsThe top mechanism doesn't lime up true with the bottom mechanism which means the teeth get jammed and thats what breaks the chainAlso once assembled it is almost impossible to lubricate any gears without taking it apart.Love doing these models but sometimes you need stronger parts in the delicate places”
“This is a very difficult project because the pieces take a tremendous amount of force to get out of the templates. Lots of sanding and waxing. My primary chain between the two large gears broke before I got the puzzle put together, with no spare parts. I don’t believe it would have lasted long any way. The whole thing is going in the trash. I would recommend using wax very lightly. I might have added too much friction with extra wax on the chain, but it still shouldn’t have been that weak.”
“Difficile da montare per via dei pezzi troppo fragili, pezzi difficili da staccare dal supporto che spesso si spezzano irrimediabilmente sopratutto le stecche dentate delle pale delle quali non ci sono nemmeno ricambi. Complessivamente una buona idea che deve essere molto migliorata sopratutto i pezzi lunghi e sottili che non dovrebbero essere così difficili da staccare, mi sono venuti i polpastrelli di un suonatore di chitarra, rossi e doloranti. Non sono riuscita a concluderlo per via di una pala rotta alla base quindi ho buttato via i soldi che non sono pochi. Dopo aver montato tanti altri di questi progetti mi ero illusa, viste le recensioni negative, che questo fosse solo più complesso invece il problema non è la complessità ma la fragilità.”
