“I needed to power the receiver on my Seagull Super Chipmunk (Spektrum AR8360T+), but I didn't want to use the BEC that is internal to my ESC. This airplane already had high wing-loading (34 ounces/square foot), and this UBEC weighs only 51 grams. I could have used a two-cell LiFe battery, but for any decent capacity, the weight would have been 102 grams. I also like that it's super easy to set the output voltage by pressing the button provided (no fancy programming required). I also like that there are two pairs of red and black output wires which provides less resistance between the UBEC and my receiver. So far, I’m a happy camper.”

“I have been using this brand of UBEC for many years now without any issues. I do like the dual power leads and plug one into the RX and the other into the Aura 8 and also use a jumper wire between those units for redundancy as per Flex recommendations. I also like the choices of voltage output to bump up the servo torque when needed for large airplanes.”
