“Because I bought the wrong model of cutting board and asked to return it for another style, the merchant refused to return or exchange it. The reason is that I opened the outer box, and I didn't use it. I just tested the wooden board. I was very confused. This reason won't let me return it. I have never seen such a merchant. The quality of the wooden board itself is good, but I am very dissatisfied with the merchant's practice.”

“Good size for home use. Execellent quality, very gentle on refined edges. Quite a different feel than a wooden traditional board, grabes the edge of the blade when contact is made more than a wooded one does. Not a problem, just a difference.”

“The surface is soft to protect the knife and no scrapings to keep everyone healthy. I also have a larger size and love both of them. The cutting sound on these are music to my ears.”

“Solidly built and gentle on delicate knife blades, Hasegawa's cutting board nicely compliments good quality Japanese knives protecting their delicate edges. Get this size board rather than the smaller, and less expensive, unless your kitchen countertop won't accomodate. We have two of these and find the larger sized board much more useful.”
