“Good size for home use. Execellent quality, very gentle on refined edges. Quite a different feel than a wooden traditional board, grabes the edge of the blade when contact is made more than a wooded one does. Not a problem, just a difference.”

“The surface is soft to protect the knife and no scrapings to keep everyone healthy. I also have a larger size and love both of them. The cutting sound on these are music to my ears.”

“Solidly built and gentle on delicate knife blades, Hasegawa's cutting board nicely compliments good quality Japanese knives protecting their delicate edges. Get this size board rather than the smaller, and less expensive, unless your kitchen countertop won't accomodate. We have two of these and find the larger sized board much more useful.”
