“Purchased board in black only after reading so many posts about how difficult it is to clean a rubber cutting board. More there in a moment. This board crushes form. Out of the box, this cutting board is gorgeous. You can’t appreciate this until you have the board in your hands. A cutting board in black turns out to be unexpectedly alpha. The extent to which the board nails function is less clear. You will absolutely feel the board hugging the blade. The degree to which this translates into less frequent sharpening or improved durability of the blade appears to be an open question. Ideally, this would be more plain, especially at this price point. Thoughts and prayers if you want to clean this board without putting it in the dishwasher. None of the typical household hacks will work. Hasegawa scraper REMOVES the board’s plastic resin. IMO, that is the nuclear option. Removing a stain should not require the board’s user to degrade the board. I would recommend this board for its sheer Insta-fabulousness alone. This board serves its purpose and no one else you know owns one. Just don’t expect your food preparation to be transformed and understand this product has difficult maintenance.”
