“I'm very ambivalent about my experience. I bought this bowl as a Christmas gift. It took quite a while to arrive. There was a quarter-inch firing crack in the textured striations inside the bowl that should have been caught by a quality checker. I gave the bowl to the recipient anyway. She wasn't happy about the crack, but has kept the bowl. The problem is that returning the bowl for a refund would have cost more than the bowl itself, since it cost about $35, shipping was another $35, and I would have had to not only pay return shipping to return it for the refund, but also for shipping a replacement to me again. So returning it made no financial sense. Hopefully the flaw in the bowl won't be a problem with using it.”

“I love this Mortar (and it came with its own Pestle). I've made some wonderful salad dressings, mashing up the garlic and letting it soak in the vinegar before adding other things. This set is very attractive too so I keep visible in the kitchen.”

“After watching Alice Water's MasterClass, I knew I needed this Mortar Bowl in my kitchen. Most sites were sold out of this product until I found MTC Kitchen. Great price and great service! I use this every day. Love it. Will return to MTC as a customer. highly recommend.”
