“This clearly the best way to hold your Shapton Glass Sharpening Stones. The stones CAN break and need to be supported. I bought one for each stone I use sharpening plane blades. They are recommended by Rob Coasman, one of the most knowledgeable woodworkers on Youtube. MTC has the best prices on the holders. Around $10 cheaper on these holders and the stones themselves are either less or equal to other sources with no additional charges. I highly recommend MTC for my sharpening needs.”

“I purchased my much beloved Shapton Glass 500 stone while I was in NYC almost two years ago now. I also purchased a 2k and 16 stone with the field holder. It truly has been an exceptional water stone. The exquisite 16k stone will last an eternity. Thank you so much for recommending these wonderful water stones.”

“I actually met Harrelson when he came to my culinary school to do a knife sharpening demo. I had always used a steel thinking it kind of sharpens my knife. I like that I can use this in place of a steel but I can also use it as a fnishing stone. Wish it were a little cheaper but I ended up getting it anyway!”
