The numbers 18/8 represent the composition of this steel; it is 18% chromium and 8% nickel, making it very resistant to corrosion and oxidation. It is highly durable and easy to fabricate and clean. 18/8 stainless steel may also be known as austenite steel or 304 grade steel.The Dull 2D finish on this tag achieved by cold rolling, heat treating and pickling which results in a low reflective matte surface appearance. Optionally Embossed or Debossed with customized text, silencers and chains for additional fee.

“Great tags, quick receipt. BUT it was EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to connect the chains to each tag. Please improve slit that the chain end has to fit into connecting the 2-ends together.”

Hi Barbara, thanks for your feedback. Our made-in-the-USA chains are military grade and are designed to be very tough. As such the connector clasp is indeed quite tight and does require considerable effort to snap together by hand. To accommodate customer with limited dexterity we do offer a pre-assembly service where we will assemble the chains, dogtags, and silencers for you.

“I'm a runner of 5Ks, 10Ks and half-marathons. At age 70, I know I should be careful, so I carried emergency information. However, as runners sweat (a LOT), it kept getting smeared. The Customizable Jumbo Matte Dog Tag was PERFECT for the info I needed, as well as light and easy to wear on a neck chain.”

“I'm a night owl with atrial fibrillation who rides my bike late at night when the streets are empty and safer. That's why I first got dog tags, in case I faint due to a-fib or I crash. Now I have a pacemaker and I'm on a beta blocker and a blood thinner. My tags have to say more now, so I went to Jumbo tags. I'm very happy with the bigger dog tags containing more information.”

“While these are oversized, I wanted something that has all my pertinent information when I ride my motorcycle. I grab them along with my keys before I leave home. I hope that I never need them, but it saves valuable time if I would ever get in an accident and definitely more stylish than the tiny medical ID bracelet .”
