“Not quite like the original. The replacement dog tags are more of a matte finish, and there is no place to input the date of enlistment. I was not aware that your company was out of country until a review of my credit card showed the additional charge.”

Hi Daryl, Thanks for your feedback and your military service. We do indeed offer a shiny finish as an option on our website, but matte is the most common type used so that is our default. Date-of-enlistment has never been formally stamped onto dogtags by any branch of the US military, However, during the 40s and 50s a tetanus shot date AKA "T" date was indeed stamped on some tags which often corresponded with year of enlistment. We are located in the 51st state (aka Canada), and unfortunately a few banks in the US charge a small international fee (around 30 cents). Please contact us and we will refund you this difference.
