“They replicate the pattern of CF dog tags perfectly, and they were very expedient in delivering my tags. The quality is top notch. One minor note, the metal used is more matte than standard tags are.”

“If you put the dog tags I ordered right next to the military issue ones, they don’t look identical. One is a more matte finish and the other is shiny. One has the letters engraved while the other is black from the laser. The font styles are also slightly different from one to the other. However, the original dog tags are over 30 years old. They’re bound to look different simply with time!”

Hi Katrina, thanks for your review. The Canadian military switched to laser engraved dogtags in 2012 which is why we make ours that same way. As stated on our website, our pre-2012 reproductions will have the same information and similar font as your originals, but it will indeed be laser engraved, not stamped or mechanically engraved. We use a matte finish on our Canadian ID disc reproductions as we feel that it looks higher quality than original issue shiny tags that were often easily scratched.

“Very pleased with the quality of the dog tags. Ordering was easy and layout of information straight forward with a preview pane to see your product prior to placing your order. Nicely done. My one minor disappointment was that I ordered the nylon webbing to cover the chain. It came with the order but was just a length of paracord. Trying to get the chain through the cord was a chore. It would have been nice to have had that done prior to shipping but all in all very satisfied.”

Hi John, Thanks for your review. The paracord sheath can indeed be "pre-assembled" by us if you choose pre-assembly option for an additional fee.
