Organic Astragalus Root
Botanical Name: Astragalus membranaceousOrganic Status: OrganicCountry of Origin: ChinaPlant Part: Root
Astragalus Root is recognised as an adaptogen and is very popular in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It has been used for thousands of years and was often combined with other herbs. Astragalus is particularly popular to blend with Ginseng which is another adaptogen.
Instructions: Can be brewed like a loose leaf tea. Boil water (90°C to 100°C degrees) and add between 1 teaspoon and 1 tablespoon of herbal blend per cup of water. Pour boiled water over the tea and allow to steep for at least 5 minutes before straining and serving.  Honey or vegan sweeteners can be used to sweeten and enhance the flavour
Herbal teas can often be rebrewed between sittings.
The above instructions are general guidelines only, and brew strengths and times can be adjusted to suit personal taste. You can also sneak this into your food by adding to soups, stews, rice, or any food that simmers for at least 30 minutes. Simply add a teaspoon to a teabag or washed calico sachet and pop into the cooking dish. When cooking is complete, remove the teabag or sachet and the herbal goodness has gone into your food! Astragalus has a neutral, somewhat pleasant taste.

I drink it often every day and love how it makes me feel : fresh, spry, vital. At 80 years old it’s my tea of choice.

I've ordered the astralagus root and used it as an ingredient for a herbal healing broth, I felt instantly great from it. Highly recommend Herb Clinic for their service.
