This beautiful and intricate design is taken from one of Ireland's most treasured artefacts, the Ardagh Chalice. Discovered accidentally in Lough Gur, Co Limerick in 1868 by two farmers digging potatoes.
The original filigree work on the Ardagh Chalice features shield decorations and this design forms the basis which we have used in this bangle. The center shield is highly decorated and is set with an 18k bead giving a wonderful contrast against the silver. The bangle is solid and strong and would suit the lady who prefers chunky jewelry.
This piece ticks all the boxes for the person who is interested in Irish Culture and Heritage.
7.5" bangle made to fit regular wrist size. The bead size is available in two sizes 0.6 " or 0.8".
