Diamond Set Warrior Shield BandMade in Ireland.This magnificent 4mm Celtic Warrior ring is set with 3 fabulous diamonds in a rub over setting encrusted into the shields. The ring is heavily decorated with a long elongated interlace pattern, dotted with filigree studs and shields. The pattern flows seamlessly around the entire band. The texture and finish on the band is characterized by a dull chased or rubbed finish known as a 'Florentine'. This finish allows the detail and filigree pattern to be shown off to its best advantage.
This beautiful design is taken from one of Ireland's most treasured artefacts, the Ardagh Chalice, which was discovered in Lough Gur, Co Limerick in 1868. The pattern on the Ardagh Chalice features shield decorations and this design forms the basis which we have used in this ring.
