ORIGINAL 1970s DESIGN - Silver History of Ireland BroochMade in Ireland.Michael Hilliar designed this magnificent History Of Ireland brooch. This award winning design comprises of 12 Irish symbols that depict our history through images and symbols. Ireland's patron saint, St Patrick changed the course of Irish history early in the 5th century when he began his mission of converting Ireland to Christianity. The center of the brooch has a Celtic Cross image to remind us of our faith. The history continues with the Vikings and Normans invading our shores. In the 1840's a dreadful famine hit Ireland when the potato crop failed, as a result there was mass emigration to the United States.

Irish history is fascinating and each piece comes with a detailed explanation booklet.
Wear this stunning piece of jewelry with pride, it looks sensational on the outside of a coat or heavy sweater. Definitely a piece of jewelry that will not go unnoticed! The brooch has a lovely weight and a wonderful loop feature at the back to allow you to add a nice heavy 24 or 28" chain.

Since his retirement 5 years ago this brooch is available exclusively from MY IRISH JEWELER

History of Ireland brooch has a 45mm Diameter.

Product arrived on the projected date and exceeded our expectations - much better than the on line pictures and accompanied by some interesting literature describing the background. My mother was thrilled when she saw it.
