“If I could give Nantahala Rafting 6 stars, I would. We booked the tour as a fun activity during a vacation with my husband's family. While we were in the car on the way to the river we learned that my father-in-law had suddenly passed away at his house in Texas. There was nothing we could do. We decided to move forward with the trip because we wanted to distract the kids and frankly, my father-in-law would have been annoyed if we'd cancelled it because of him. The staff could not have been more understanding on an incredibly difficult day. They gave us a few minutes grace on our arrival and the guides were wonderful. The river was beautiful and the head of the rafting program stopped by and checked in with us after the trip while we were eating at the restauraunt (great pizza, btw!). It's hard to make happy memories on a really terrible day, but somehow they did. We will never forget it. Thank you.”

“Overall it was pleasant, the guides were nice and the place was nice. The restrooms/changing area beds some improvements, it was dirty and smelled very bad. We did have our two teenagers with us going down the river and our guide was the oldest guy there and was all about nature and every type of leaf and grass which bored my children to death. They wanted to have fun not a school lesson. IMO we were just stuck with the wrong guy, he was nice though.”

“First time rapids rafters - had a ball! Just enough thrills, no spills. Had a great time captured with an action photo. Nothing spoiled by the rain. Highly recommend.”

“Great time, well organized and our guide was very informative. We had 2 little girls with us so he played it safe which we appreciated. Prices of drinks and snacks were very reasonable. Best rafting company!!”
