“Absolutely beautiful, solid, well-built desk. I LOVE it! It fits my space perfectly. I'm thrilled. Very easy to assemble too - but don't let that fool you. That is not to say it's not sturdy. It is definitely solid.... but more important - it's beautiful!”

“This is a beautiful desk. Note, however, that "Solid Wood" is a slippery term these days. The top of the desk is made of MDF, as advertised. MDF contains formaldehyde and is a carcinogin; on the plus side, I did not notice any strong odor from that. Also note, MDF is moisture-resistant, not water-resistant and not waterproof, so don't put a weeping beverage container on it. For my purposes--furniture for an occasionally used guest space--this desk is a good, stylish addition and I simply ask guests not to put anything wet on it. This is a reasonable purchase even at the full price I paid, and I notice that it is now on sale!”
