“I've been eyeing a few Nathan James pieces for at least two years. I'm in the phase of my life where I'm starting to slowly replace otherwise functional but maybe not so "nice" pieces and I had been keeping an eye on these nightstands for probably 9 months before I convinced my partner that we needed them (as a birthday present for myself). My criteria for nightstands were: black, solid wood, open/airy (the open space below the legs meets this need - I HATED dusting the bottom shelf on our old nightstands), and a unique sort of decorating detail. I spent hours seeking those exact characteristics and narrowed it to these and a few pieces that were (no exaggeration) twice as expensive per nightstand. I've included images of my bedroom setup below - they are classic in shape, stylish in retro fluted design, and can fit a variety of bedroom styles. I'm planning a large rug and raised wall paneling in the next year but am already so, so pleased with the overall look. They were shipped out quickly but as I'm on the east coast it took about two weeks. Absolutely worth the wait, especially as some of the "other" companies (which I've bought furniture from as well) generally charge a $249 "white glove" fee (I'm a sucker for nice pieces in the last few years but will drag my feet out for a long time looking for alternatives before I pay that). Assembly was also quite straightforward. One of my nightstands had a small issue but I contacted the customer service team and within 48 hours they had offered a variety of options for a solution. And that, right there, is the last piece of a company I will order from again and again: a positive customer service experience. Hurrah for Brooke (the founder) meeting her goal: affordable, stylish, and quality pieces. And I'm always here to support a woman owned company : ) tldr; love them, would order again, have already talked a few friends into ordering pieces, and plan to order other items from Nathan James (this was my first order).”

The nightstands arrived on time, securely packaged and were easy to assemble. Additionally, for the price point, they feel very sturdy and well-made. We've had multiple compliments from guests, and we told them to shop at Nathan James!”
