“It is often said that a "budget" purchase is a litmus test for a company’s integrity. Curious to evaluate National Mattress regarding their delivery logistics and product fidelity before committing to a larger investment, I opted for what was marketed as an "Extra Firm" model. Regrettably, the experience has been a masterclass in unmet expectations. Structural & Comfort Discrepancies The most immediate concern is the firmness inflation. While advertised as "Extra Firm," the reality is a mattress that sits somewhere between plush and medium. It lacks the skeletal support promised, offering a yielding surface that contradicts its own technical description. The Issue of Dimensional Integrity Beyond the feel of the mattress, the physical dimensions are strikingly inaccurate. The product suffers from a significant spatial deficit: Width/Length: The mattress is consistently 2 to 3 inches smaller than standard sizing on all sides. Corner Fit: Due to overly aggressive rounded corners, there is a 4-inch gap at every corner of the bed frame. This is not merely an aesthetic grievance; it is a functional failure that compromises the safety and stability of the sleep setup. The Verdict on Value I approached this purchase as a trial run to see if National Mattress could balance affordability with quality. Unfortunately, the results are conclusive. While the price point may be tempting, the compromise on craftsmanship and sizing accuracy is simply too great to overlook. Saving those few dollars has come at the cost of peace of mind. For those seeking a reliable sleep partner, I would suggest looking elsewhere. I will not be returning for future purchases.”
