The NM Hi-loft Elite 12" extra-firm tight top mattress is a true extra-firm pocket-coil hybrid. It features 1,000 Canadian-made Hi-Loft coils under a 3" high-density comfort layer, standing 12" (30.5 cm) tall. This mattress is designed for back and stomach sleepers who prefer a flat, no-sink surface. Key features include 1,000 individually pocketed, Canadian-made 13-gauge coils that respond point by point, a true 10/10 extra-firm feel, and a taut tight-top surface. The mattress also features a foam encasement edge guard for optimal support right to the rail, a breathable cotton-blend cover for temperature-regulating airflow, and CertiPUR-US certified foams that are fiberglass-free and adjustable-base compatible. The mattress is made in Canada and comes with a 365-night sleep trial.

“I'll be honest, this is firmer than I expected - we tested it in store and this is the one we chose, but having ours now it may be a bit too firm... BUT it feels solid. It feels like it will last a long time, and that is a good thing. I'm looking in to a soft topper to make it a bit comfier but still have the sturdy base. I also believe it will soften some over time, as the one we tried in the store had a bit more give. If you are someone who likes a very firm base, this is the mattress for you. Also, it's quite high - we have it on an elevated frame so it's extra high but this would be great for a lower frame or even on the floor. It is also great for sleeping with a partner - it barely moves at all so you don't feel your partner moving in the night.”

“Perfect for us! It is quite comfortable, very firm and supporting, but still soft on the surface. (We disagree with the occasional reviewer who says something like it's "like sleeping on a wooden board".) The mattress fits our IKEA Hemnes frame snugly - better than the Sealy Posturepedic mattress did - and so it helps keep the sheets tucked in nicely.”
