“The quality was better than I expected. I purchased the Iron Wood handle with the CPM Magnacut steel and love it. The price is much better than the competition. I did get a leather sheath for it from New West knifeworks and for the Iron Wood handle knives I would recommend it highly. I am not a fan of the plastic sheaths manuafactures want to use. The Leather is easier on the handle as the Kydex sheath really grips the handle and in my opinion will wear the front of the handle over time. Leather is always better in my opinion. Thank you New West Knifeworks for making such an excellent knife. I would recomment any Outfitter 2.0 knife. I do wish though that New West Knifeworks would offer a Military Veteran discount like their competition. That said, its an awesome excellent knife, I love it and am looking forward to using it on some future harvested big game..”
“The knife is beautiful, a work of art, and an amazing field knife. I will be using it mostly on birds and trout, and it is perfect for that task. I have other knives in my kitchen from the same outfit and they hold their edge extremely well, and I want that same quality in the field which motivated me to buy it. It comes with a kydex sheath and that's a great compliment, but if your belt is 2" wide you will want to ask for their leather sheath, or both. Hard to imagine anyone being disappointed in having this knife on their belt.”
