“I have been unable to cut a truly straight board with any of the included blades with the mill. Don't get me wrong, they were great for learning. I went through 5 of my originally purchased 110 without a single waveless board. This was a blessing in disguise, however. It made me investigate every aspect of my setup to determine if it was something other than the blade. In my ignorance, I thought a brand new blade couldn't be the problem.
Once I put a new one of these blades on, it was like Norwood sent me a brand new sawmill. It turns out, all my other tweaks were dead on. I now have square, waveless, and perfectly measured boards from one end to the other. I'm eager to see how the carbide blade I got cuts. I'm saving that for later for when I start using some harder and more exotic woods.
I'm thankful for the experience with the earlier blades. If I had these blades from the beginning, I would be further along in my sawmilling journey, though.”
“I like the cut provided by these blades. They are susceptible to breaking. The HD 36V2 has some design flaws that could be improved if you want to discuss.”
“After trying a box of these blades out, they are the only blades I use now. They out last the razor 7 blades by maybe 8 to one. Meaning I will only use one stellite blade for every 8 of the other blades. Even when they get dull they do not waver like other blades and you can keep cutting. I've hit 3 small nails in a log with this blade and it still cuts and does not waver. So I get a lot more life out of these blades for money. Any other blade hits a nail, its done for the day. I have been very impressed with these blades and they are the only blades I use for cutting hard woods. Highly recommended.”
