“Once fonctionnal, it is really fun to use it. I'm impressed by the infeed pump fine settings. That allows me to run it perfectly on the 35HP PTO I have. I removed 1 star because the instruction booklet tells you to adjust the knife at .030 inches from the rotating blade AFTER everything is torque. It is a pain to have to dismantle the thing to adjust the knife on a brand new unit. It took us about 8 hours to get it chipping properly. It should be factory adjusted. Second thing it tough would not be an issue but is, is the trowing lenght. The wood chips are not exiting the chute far enough. Overall, I'm pleased with the machine.”
“I bought this chipper on sale. Great buy. Good shipping. Excellent packaging on assembly . Took me 1.5 hr with hand tools to assemble . But once I assembled it, filled it with hydraulic oil and tested it the following day. It chipped like crap. Took it apart to measure it. And found the lower cutting bar was installed 1 inch away from the blades. And spec is believe was 0.030". Which is hard to adjust as the rotor to blade install had a variation so I set the closest to the bar blade at 0.030" and the rest is have no control over as it isn't true square . Afterthat. Chips Excellent. Not the best throwing ofthe chips but I run 540. Not 1000rpm. But it will chip a full size tree with a kubota l3800 no problem.. but I keep it to 4 or 5 inch. Cause the kubota I worry about the pto clutch. My point. Set up the chipper in the factory. Where it's supposed to be. Not in the field. Otherwise... it works as they say. A beast.”
