Occuslield is a great hack if you need quick and dirty fix to filter out blue light. It definitely contributes to eye health. Especially with older mac models. My only 2problems with it is that it creates a lot of bubbles under the screen, and parts of the screen are not as visible as the center. Definitely does not beat the new Mac's displays but for older displays it is probably the best and the only alternative.

This is a big plastic film and when attached to the monitor screen, it made it really hard to see letters / images on the periphery . Only the items in the center were still clear to see with this film. I had to remove it after trying to work with it for several days. A little bit disappointed.

It does what it says on the tin. No more dry eyes after doing another busy week with long days(up to 12 hours a day). My eyes are not hurting. Magic!

Definitely helps eye strain, which is essential working entirely online now. By the measurements, I thought I was going to have to cut it to fit my screen, but it fit perfectly. I like that there are two ways to install it so I could try it out before making it permanent.

We received our 27" display shield over the weekend and installed it on our main desktop monitor. Installation was easy and quick--we elected for the double-sided tape semi-permanent solution, and it seems to work well. There is a very slight ghosting distortion that the portions of the screen that have the tape on them exhibit, but you can still see through it. The blue light is definitely diminished significantly, though we do sacrifice a little bit of clarity for it. There is a very slight, almost imperceptible diffused quality to the screen. Our display is a very sharp, low dot-pitch pixel size screen calibrated for graphic design, and after applying the screen, there's a slight but noticeable softening of the sharpness. Also not a huge fan of the privacy screen feature (not something we needed or wanted), but I knew going into it that might be a problem, so I can hardly blame ocushield. The problem is that the monitor is large enough and close enough that when you sit looking centered on it, the extreme left and right edges of the screen already have definite darkening due to the privacy screen polarize feature. The angle of view is just too narrow. That alone may be something we either have to get used to or is a breaking point for removing it. In my humble opinion, the smaller screens (iphones, ipads, mobile devices) that are made from tempered glass are a much better product--crystal clear and the entire screen is viewable. Again, not Ocushield's fault, but when plastic screen covers, especially with built-in privacy screen polarization, get to be this size, about 20-24 inches or larger, they just get unwieldy and less and less useful as the size increases. You lose clarity, angle of view, and other things that just don't show up at smaller scales. However, in the end, we bought this for the blue-light filtering, and I trust and see that it is doing that job just fine. We'll learn to live with the slight limitations to screen viewing as a result. I also have to say that their customer support is outstanding. Several of the reps I spoke with were very helpful, responsive, patient, and worked with us from beginning to end. They truly stand by their product! That is what raised my 3-star review to a 4-star! Keep up the awesome great work, Ocushield!

Occushield kept me up to date from order all the way through shipping. Sadly, i tried to use the screen on a curved monitor and due to it being a privacy screen I couldnt see. I reached out to Occushield and they remedied the situation. I hope they create a blue screen protector without the privacy built in. Highly recommend this group.
