Use the heel, secure. After wearing them for a while, they have molded nicely to my unique foot dimensions. I live on coastal Northern California where it can be wet and chilly at times. They are warm when cool. Almost waterproof (haven’t really tested that yet) but quite comfortable when it is warmer and dry. Great all purpose shoe. Thank you.”
