“These are my favorite shoes that I own. They live up to or surpass every claim made by the marketing department at OluKai. These shoes are extremely comfortable when worn with the heal up (like a traditional shoe). There is no rubbing or chaffing if you have the correct size for your foot. They are breathable, supportive, and do not smell when worn without socks- at least in my experience and I've owned them for a month. I really wanted to use these shoes as slip on clogs because I have a frequently sore back so sometimes bending over to put on shoes isn't so easy. When the back of the shoe was folded down, These shoes are as comfortable as slippers. That is not true for some of their other models, (I have tried several) since the points created when the heel is folded can create sharp edges that will likely irritate the sensitive areas on the sides of your heel. I'm not sure how or why, but this irritating junction is NOT present on the Nohea Moku, and they are just dream to wear in either configuration. I truly hope OluKai Engineers incorporate this same fabric and design combination into their other styles because then they will all be just as comfortable and useful. For now I own two pairs of these Nohea Moku shoes and LOVE LOVE LOVE them.”
