“So far after a few miles of walking, they still feel like there is no support similar to walking in flip flops. Maybe that's where the sand reference comes from. Good looking shoe but so far very uncomfortable for daily use.”

“I'll preface this review by saying that I love OluKai shoes, own several pairs, and have been a faithful customer for years. And I've never left even a mediocre review. These shoes are great. Comfortable, stylish, they go with just about anything, etc. I love them, I really do. BUT, in terms of durability I have been disappointed and won't be purchasing this specific model again. My biggest disappointment has been with the drop-in heel feature; the rest of the shoe is phenomenal. After only 4 months of routine use the stitching that holds the heel piece to the rest of the shoe has blown out, leaving a hole on both shoes big enough to fit two fingers through. And I have never "folded in" the drop-in heel either; I prefer the support of having the heel "up." So it's disappointing to me that after such a short time the heel piece is almost falling off of the shoe. At $130 a pair and especially from a company like OluKai I have much higher expectations. Being that I have other OluKai shoes that also include the drop-in heel feature (most notably Moloa) and have never had this problem with any OluKai shoe, it makes me wonder if this is simply this model or if I got a fluke pair or what. In any case, great shoe and I really like them and wear them almost every day! I just wish the heel held together longer!”
