“Bought some Olukai sandals in the store in Lahaina, Maui a year and half ago and they are the best sandals I've ever had. Wanted additional pairs since I liked them so much so I bought 2 pairs of these Alania Kai Slides (gray and blue) online thinking they were exact same. When they got to my house I realized they aren't exactly the same ones. They looked the same pretty much in pictures but I realized the ones I love from Maui have a velcro adjustment on the top part and the ones I bought online don't. That's not the big issue really but the Maui ones have thicker soles and are more plush and form to my feet and are really comfortable. The ones I got online don't have the velcro adjustment and soles are thinner and harder so not as comfortable. They're getting better as I wear them more but I really loved the ones I bought in the store in Lahaina!

“Love the look of these sandals and will keep them because the style. But, these don’t seem to be made equal. I’ve ordered two pair and both had the same problem. The right sandal is looser than the left. I thought maybe my foot was thicker but I had multiple people try them on and they thought the same thing. The left fits like a glove and the right slips off when I walk. Hoping the right forms to my foot and ends up being tolerable.”
“The visual appeal and color are amazing.
I ordered them on August 5, 2019 and I received them in time for the weekend, so I put them on immediately and took them out to brunch and a walk on the pier.
The pleasure lasted about two hours. After brunch we walked on the pier and sidewalk market for about 60-90 minutes, and I experienced major pain in my toes. The material on top is so rigid it digs into your toes when walking and the constant scraping took off the skin on both of my larger toes. I am returning them and requesting a full refund for this product.
I hope someday American corporations realize that the "made in China" thing doesn't really work. It may be cheap for OluKai, but us (the paying consumers) end up paying the price in poor quality and undesirable outcomes.”
